We've had difficulty finding studio opportunities and being able to take advantage of them. These tracks were recorded in Chandler's garage using a USB condenser mic and mixed using Garageband.

We would like to believe that this little baby EP places Swordfish on a spectrum in our genre with Really Really Lame on one end and Favorite Clothes on the other. Our other songs are some place in between.

What You Haven't Found identifies this intrapersonal discovery (or lack thereof) that we all pursue in self-actualization and happiness. Both Really Really Lame and Favorite Clothes delve into this area of discovery.

Please enjoy :-)

Track Name: Really Really Lame
i can't smell a cigarette
without thinking of my dad
and the time that I found his white lighter
in my bed
and had I not known better,
I would have set my bunkbed ablaze
it would have made you think real long and hard about your menthol days

but now I'm a vice in concrete,
two initials scrawled in sidewalk
despite your best intentions,
I still don't want to talk
about the commitments of etchings
the inability to fall apart
two letters a plus sign and an encircling heart

but you know me
and you care
and you want the best for me

I can't tell if i'm introverted,
or if I'm just really lame
because you know I've got way more time than you
to play all of these games
so when I say
I'm far too busy to leave my house
don't believe a word from my mouth
I just don't want to go out
just don't want to go

but you know me
and you care
and you want the best for me

youuu know me
youuu care and want the best for me
Track Name: Favorite Clothes
blow out the candles, and turn out the lights
I don't think that we can synthesize until you're as empty as I feel on the inside
but I've been there before, I know how it goes
there's distress in your voice, intonations on phones
and you start wearing holes through your favorite clothes
they're familiar, they smell like, not being alone

I haven't clipped my nails, so the first thing you'll feel is sharp
and while we're dancing in the shadows, I'll embrace my fear of the dark
because there's these things that you do and the things that you say
the way that you feel and you make me okay
and I know that I can't be dependent on you
because one day you'll be gone and I won't know what to do
and every time I digress I put myself in a place
and if I stay there too long, I can't remember your face
there's the colors, the contours, the flush of your cheeks
the way that I slept and the grinding of teeth
